You act as though XMPP's can't be jacked.. Which they can.
But, it is definitely more secure than Skype. Especially for HF with HF's XMPP service.

If you get scammed by a hacked Skype, it's completely your fault for being lazy and not taking necessary precautions. It literally takes 5 seconds to send a PM confirming a deal or using verifysecret.php
These people will never learn.

Whenever I do make any kind of deal (which is not often) I always use the pm system here on HF, it's the only system that I can legitimately use for reference if I ever get scammed and I can always save the conversation in a text archive.

Pm'ing on HF is just easier and safer.
