Hi,

This is my first suggestion, and it's a small one so I hope I'm following any proper formatting needed.

I'm not sure if it would be possible, but would it be possible to update some of the options in the User CP additional contact information section (found under edit profile)?

For example, currently it is a bit outdated showing MSN, Yahoo, AIM and ICQ. Looking around the forums it seems the majority of off-site conversations take place on Skype and XMPP. As we know MSN is now dead and Yahoo is very rarely used, so it would be nice if we could add relevant contact information to save having to display it in the signature?

I'm not very good with Web design or coding, but just doing a Google search I came up with a few results of how it can be done. Apologies if those aren't relevant to the version this forum runs or anything but it's the only reason I posted the thread because I thought it was technically possible!

Whether it's relevant and something that staff feel should be implemented is another matter 😊

Pretty much any of MyBB's code can be altered.

I suppose this is a good suggestion given the fact that those are no longer around.

It might be possible, I didn't really look into it before. I was just thinking from when I played around with MyBB.

Not required, and nobody checks these areas on profiles anyway. If you need to contact someone (off-site) send a PM.

In my personal opinion I check those areas because it would be a lot easier to just add the person straight away than to send a PM and wait for a response - It is a minor suggestion but generally I think it would be useful so that it reduces the amount of PMs received asking for a Skype username.

Don't think it's really necessary. Most people wouldn't post there Skype publicly for anyone too see anyway.

Hi, even though we have the option to post AIM/Yahoo etc, its not displayed user's profile like before.
Users are very prone to get hacked and a deal can go bad while a person assumes that he has dealt with a particular person. Hence it is suggested you use PM/XMPP for dealing.
If you want to contact a person offsite, please PM and ask their IM infos.
