I am considering locking username changes if any of the following conditions are met:
1. Email change
2. Password reset
3. Password change
4. Gauth activated
5. Gauth disabled
Seems username changes are being used too often by account thief's attempting to impersonate members for currency scamming.
I think a one week is probably a realistic lock time.
Any comments?

I think this is a fantastic idea. There is really no reason to not have it, to be completely honest. Just saw someone impersonating Neat, this would probably prevent similar things like that from happening.

I think it's a good idea and I can't think of any disadvantages.
I have no issue with this, sounds like a great idea.
1 week seems actually kind of short. 2 weeks would be better.
Tbh that's quite a good idea. In fact a very good idea, lol.
I don't see anything wrong with it. What if they login to an inactive account though and change the name before any of that?
Who would want to change the username Frankie?

Maybe some kind of warning if someone first changed their name and then does one of the following 5 to lock name changing. Or maybe a 1 week warning in general if a user changes their name.
Yes, please do this. One of my friends was banned thanks to this.
Seems reasonable, but why one week. What do you expect would stop them from doing it after the week is over.

Good idea, better for the community and for marketplace.
I think a few more weeks would be better.

Perfectly reasonable. Usernames are really just an aesthetic aspect of the site imo. Though I think if it's only a week lock on it, all the attackers would have to do is target inactive users instead that most likely wont notice if it's only a week.
even a month lock seems legit. No need to be changing usernames every week.

Because in the time that the username is locked appropriate actions can be taken by either staff and/or the original account owner to prevent a scamming spree.
