That's difficult to say, because in my opinion Golden time as well as toradora both have aspects to them that make them really great as romance/drama/comedy. That most in the romance drama don't have.

Clannad, and clannad after story
Kanon (2006)
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien
Suzuka
Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora (6 episodes)
Grisaia no Kajitsu and sequels (It's not exactly entirely similar, however it is romance genre, and very high quality, and i highly recommend , it is hard to find exact similar shows to golden time and toradora)
Amagami SS / And Sequel ( It's straight romance i believe, doesn't rely on comedy or drama really, however it's still really good, and i think its called Omnibus episode format)

And these two if you haven't seen but they are more Drama reliant and not romance, so not related to golden time or toradora really but somehow relate in my head (drama) : Usagi Drop, Anohana

I have some other romance shows on my list however tbh i wouldn't recommend them, except for the stuff above, because golden time and toradora were the best, and the ones above were similar as well, Because they relied on Romance/comedy or romance/drama, instead of only romance.

Both Your Lie in April and Golden Time have a similar beginning, with the love interest seeming to be interested in another guy. Both have protags have emotional trouble.

You won't regret watching this; I don't watch too many recent shows, but this was fantastic.
I've enjoyed them both, and have found that Nisekoi is probably the closest one imo.

Nisekoi isn't similar to those two at all.

I agree that it isn't, i couldn't get into it, i liked the first 2 episodes or so, but as i got into the 4th or something i dropped it right away because it irritated me, it was more of like a harem, or something like because there was two girls and not just one. Sure there wasn't a ton of girls, but it just instantly gave me a pissed off feeling compared to other shows so i dropped it lol.

It probably felt like a harem because Nisekoi is a harem.
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai
Your Lie in April
Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate
Spice and Wolf
Oregairu
Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo
Sankarea
White Album 2

These are just suggestions based on my personal opinion. They're all related to Golden Time and Toradora, as they're all a bit more of a serious Romance. Out of all of those, Oregairu, Your Lie in April and White Album 2 are probably the most similar. They're both serious romances based in a realistic situation.

If you decide to check any of them out, please give me your opinion!

Happy watching!

Oregairu, Haganai and your lie in april are probably the closest to what you are looking for,

but if you are looking for also supernatural(in golden time) then the above animes doesnt count.

I have only seen Toradora, so I will base my suggestions around that anime.

My first suggestion is: http://myanimelist.net/anime/1195/Zero_no_Tsukaima
Zero no Tsukaima revolves around a failure of a witch in an alternative world, where she is about to summon a 'pet'. The 'pet' she summons is a human, who comes from the world we know and of course that leads to uproar (the other wizards and witches summoned some sorts of monsters/animals). The characters is ZnT is very similar to Toradora, where Louise and Taiga both are tsunderes. The plots are entirely different, but ZnK is still a good choice.

My other suggestion is: http://myanimelist.net/anime/8769/Ore_no...ake_ga_Nai
Oreimo is about a pair of siblings, who hate each other. One day, the older brother finds out his annoying little sister is an otaku and they start becoming more dependent of each other. Toradora and Oreimo are similar in the romantic aspects, where Oreimo got a bigger palette of different girls with different personalities. You got both a yandere, a tsundere and a shut-in. They also got some of the similar 'fighting' scenes as Toradora.
For the record, you can always go to the recommendations section of any title on MAL.
