I'm in a very talkative mood, and it's midnight so I'm gonna make a thread about what happened the other day.
I have this friend who I talk to in Math here and there. She's pretty cool and she was just telling me about how her boyfriend cheated on her. The day after the told me that I was walking to Gym and I noticed her and her boyfriend or ex or whatever arguing. She told him to get away. and I could tell by the tone in her voice she was scared. As I was walking over there, she tried to get away from him and he grabbed her arm. Me being the "hero" I am, I ran in front of the dude and pushed him away and told him to leave her alone, because she doesn't want to talk to him.
He then proceeds to get in my face and tells me to mind my own business. (Imagine the typical dead-beat abusive boyfriend). It's finals week and I didn't want to have to retake my finals. The girl also got away so I figured I could leave the situation alone, physical contact wasn't necessary. So I took a step back and I said "Don't get in my face, you don't need to treat her like that", he then puffed his chest up and got in my face and I couldn't help but to laugh, my temper got the best of me and I pushed him away and yelled "Get the fuck out of my face!".
This is where the interesting part starts. He gives me a look, and I was certain I had to hit him. I made a fist and my girlfriend's ex boyfriend (who I don't like very much) comes up and grabs the kid by his shoulders and pushes him through like a case in the hallway. Keep in mind my girlfriends ex is a pretty big guy. So they start fighting, and we broke it up. I didn't want her ex to get suspended, he did something nice.
Basically what happened is the dean looked at the Camera's and saw it all happen. He ended up telling me he's very proud because I handle the situation non-violently (I chuckled because it literally was a moment away from being violent.) I convinced the dean that my girlfriends Ex was only trying to breakup the fight, and the abusive asshole got suspended for a week for putting his hands on my friend, and for acting how he did.
But I'm left confused. Like my girlfriends ex messaged me and asked me if I was okay, and tried communicating with me. I cut it short for my girlfriends purposes, but I still don't get why he jumped in like that.
Sorry for the long thread
tldr: I saw a friend of mine being abused by her boyfriend at school, I stepped in and told the guy to walk away and he tried getting physical, suddenly my girlfriends ex boyfriend(who was abusive to her and knows I don't like him) comes out of no where and gets the kid away from me, and starts a fight with him. I'm confused as to why he did that for me. I didn't ask for his help, and me and him know I could've handled the fight, it's not like he pittied me.
Anyone else have any experience like this?
Maybe not with fight's but an ex of your current trying to be friendly with you?
