Security Measure for IP Changes

As inconvenient as this may sound from now on an IP change will destroy your session and log you out.

Accounts being sold were sharing cookies so that the session wouldn't need a login. I already know this would be an issue and I already knew this was how some of the recent sold accounts were utilized.

Those on dynamic IPs will need to login again every single time their IP changes. It will just have to be that way.

This will greatly assist with stolen or sold accounts used to scam. Forcing a login will give better results to the Trust Scan and the admin logs where I can spot these accounts much easier.

Sorry but this is just necessary if we're going to continue having a thriving Marketplace.

More measures will be into place asap. This is hardly the only thing I plan to implement. This site will have ultra high end security for accounts.

NOTE: If you'd like to test try to use a VPN, sock or proxy to access HF, that is if you can find one that works.
Can't you do something for Dynamic IPs if from same region/city it doesn't force to logout?

Good move though.
Honestly I think this is necessary inconvenience. It will help make it harder for accounts to be sold and exchanged so fast.
This is actually really nice, should help prevent any 2FA bypasses and account selling/sharing in a smooth matter. Thanks for adding this and alerting the community.
Yeah looks like I will be forced to logout on a daily basis as I am on a dynamic IP which changes every night. I don't even know my password here honestly, I let lastpass work that out.
High end sites with a lot of commerce force you to login daily. Places like banks, online crypto wallets or just about any place with a valuable account. It's less convenient but more secure. At this point we need the more secure option.

Just be happy you're not in India where you may have an IP change every few hours. :)
this is really going to fuck me up. My IP changes every 30 mins or w/e because I switch phones a lot and when I take a shit I have my samsung there that's on its own IP too.
This is a good thing tbh, I don't mind re logging in when I change IPS.
This means I'm going to have to login again every 24 hours, and I can barely remember my username 😧
But it's for the better, I guess.

I'm living in the United States, when at home/office I'll be usually only on a couple IP address changes a month, when on the go their might be a ton (mobile data).
Explains why I jut had to re login to my phone.

Good stuff; nice little beginning to the security. That way when people sell accs they have to disable 2FA or share the code and password.

Use that auto-fill option. It will save your life. Lol
