So I am trying to set up a virtual server and connect to it using putty with the IP. I have the IP but when I try connecting to it on PuTTY it say refused to connect . I know to run it with CentOS but don't know which ISO to run it with. (if it matters) I also put the IP in the host name. Don't know what I am doing wrong as I am still learning. trying to use the server to DDoS. Any advise helps.😧

Just need the help on setting it up which confuses me (Feb 7, 2016 04:13 PM)Alienoid Wrote: CentOS Linux I believe. if not then im not sure. Is this a online VPS account ? If so login to your services account and make sure your vps system is turned on. Also make sure it has ssh server running or vnc. Then at that point you can make the ssh connection to the system via putty. Just make sure you have the correct external IP/Port of the vps system hosting the ssh server. I can boot up the server and all and how do you make sure the vnc is running because it has a vnc address and password and port is there something im missing Well this depends on your vps account not all vps systems will have vnc installed by defualt most use ssh by defualt id say like 80% of them. So making a ssh connection via putty should be no issue. Ill pm you my skype and maybe I can help you more that way. chances are just ssh is running on the VPS linux server, From here we make a ssh connection to the vps server and then run a vnc server. This will then allow you to connect to the linux vps vnc server like windows remote desktop, You will be able to use the linux VPS as a desktop x GUI rather then just be stuck running commands via terminal shell. |
