Accused of scam by scammer

I got scammed about $60 a while back. User was already kinda on his way out of the forum, so didn't make a scam report, BUT i left him a -3 rep with the relevant feedback. He called me a scammer and left me neutral rep.
It does tend to deter people from dealing with me from time to time and I do not feel that it is true at all. In fact, everyone I dealt with can vouch for me to the contrary.

I'm not sure about PM'ing Omni about this since it seems more or less trivial, but if someone from staff or an admin does notice this, could they check and remove said rep if possible?

link to rep abuser: https://hackforums.net/member.php?action...id=2937579
He left you an invalid rep.

You can PM omni and have it removed as he is the only one that deals with rep abuse.

Any rep that indicates your a scammer must be accompanied by a link to a valid deal dispute.
If he left you a scammer rep with no link to the scam report, then that is a valid reputation violation. You may contact Omniscient IF this is reputation violation (which it is).

Someone called me a scammer in reputation, what do I do?
Calling someone a scammer without a link to the scam report in the reputation will result in the reputation being removed. However, if there is a link to a Deal Dispute thread they've created then Staff does not investigate these claims nor make it definitive whether the scam report is legitimate or not.

How do I report abuse or get the invalid rep removed?
You can PM the admin Omniscient. Be warned. If you did not read fully this page and the rep left on your account was indeed within policy then you will get RepKilled without any hesitation. If you were left a scammer rep we may also do a full investigation of your account. If we find out you're breaking any site policies you will get a closed account.

What are examples of invalid scammer reputation?
•Ripped me off in a currency exchange in Skype
•This member stole $100 from me
•member has open scam reports
•Multiple account scammer
•scammed my friend
•chargeback on payment
•known scammer
•took my money and didn't provide service
•this guy is a thief and will rip you off
Staff will never reach out to you off-site. We only communicate on HF.
Pm'ed him. Lets see what he says :)
That is what happen to me as well, but I don't really mind though, the user call me charge back
on my rep, and at that time of the scam report I have provided a lot of evidence showing that he is the one who trying to scam me.
Should I PM as well :P ?

Really nice group, and I love groups that involves both gaming, and other things.

Good luck, and if you'll open a PC-Application, I'd enter.

If you want it removed then pm omni.

If you wanna keep it, then don't.

This is correct.

Follow this step now.

How do I report an invalid scammer reputation?
We suggest you send them a Private Message informing them of site policy and the consequences unless they alter the reputation within 24 hours. Give them that time to alter it. Do not report the reputation to an admin until that 24 hours has passed. Do not threaten the member in the PM. Instead copy/paste this:

I am sending this PM to you because you've given me an invalid scammer reputation. Policy dictates that I send this text to you. HackForums policy requires that all scammer inferences in reputation require a link to a Deal Dispute forum thread that you have created. Either you didn't leave a link or the link you did leave is to a thread not created by you. As such you have 24 hours to alter your reputation to be within policy. Failure to do so will result in your reputation being reported to an admin which can result in severe action against your account. If you'd like to confirm this policy please read this help doc:
