I'm just looking at some group recruitment threads and every group is literally the same as the last. "A group of smart individuals that consist of marketers, programmers, or gamers that strive to bring quality content to Hack Forums."

It's the same everytime. Isn't there any originality anymore with these groups? What's the true purpose of them? Seems like there is none, but maybe I'm missing something.

Don't wanna sound like a hipster but old groups actually had a purpose and the members in the group actually all communicated often outside of HF. Just more unique in general. Kinda sad to see

There is honestly not much of a difference. Then again I joined in 2012.

Although groups used to be more serious about their niches. Most groups are just lounge groups these days but I'm fine with that. Its good fun.
