I have lost access to my account and I can provide identity verification as well as ownership proof. Following the Stolen/Lost account guide, i made a temp account. As a new/temp member I am unable to PM staff and am currently unsure how to regain access to the account. I still control the email used on the account however my phone with Authy was stolen so I can not generate a current 2fa token. Is there anything further I must do or is it now just a waiting game? I understand that the staff is quite busy and I don't mean to rush them, I just want to make sure I've done everything needed on my end.

Omniscient is the only person who can reset the 2FA settings/token for your account. If you haven't already, leave a message under your original account @ the Contact Us page. Included solid proof, as outlined Stolen and Lost HF Accounts.

Keep in mind that your account's reputation will be purged (rep killed) and it's advised that you use Authy next time. Good luck.

Isn't the whole point of Authy that if your phone breaks, gets lost or is stolen, you have an authy account that contains the "backup" of those authentications?

Authy has a Windows app, no? Could you not just log in through that application?

My Authy seems to have saved my Coinbase 2fa Seed however it did not save my Hackforums one. I'm not sure why but I'm going to assume it was an error on my part. I understand that my Reputation will likely be purged, however that is fairly sad to me. I worked pretty hard for that Rep. As for verification, I can sign anything needed via my PGP key, Bitcoin address, etc. My IP has not changed, my emails are all still mine, and I can give as much information regarding my account as needed to prove my identity. I submitted a contact message via the form a week or so ago and have been waiting to here back. I have received notifications about pending private messages and I was hoping that this route may expedite things a bit, though it seems that it will not change much.

I have one fucking great idea, You can do the same as i did. Download authy on the computer, then you get it fixed. Just like i did.
