So there is a newer anime I started watching called the asterisk war. I actually found this by accident on crunchyroll one day and it caught my interest. I wanted to know if anyone here has watched this anime or your thoughts on it?

I want like it but I feel like its just idk how to describe it "Average" its not very ground breaking. I feel like the foundation of the story, the plot, the skills/abilities lore & such are all pretty interesting but I feel as if the characters ruin this. I feel like with better character development this show could be a good one. Don't get me wrong I like some characters but I just feel like the whole interactions with all the girls obsessing over the main character because hes mysterious with no real other qualities makes it seem shallow.
