Why don't you just post it publicly as that was the point of this thread? Lol.
What are the groups you think are doing it right? |

It's certainly not at all "Active af" but we keep low membership. You guys need to understand the The Red Lions are dedicated to the betterment of the HackForums community as a whole. We do not get involved with marketing our group, or selling spots, or any other shit that other groups do. We have group projects and goals. We stick to those goals, and we work together to accomplish them. We have big plans in the works which is making our SF very active as of late....but again it's never really that active to begin with. We aren't a chat group....we know what we have to do and we do it. (May 4, 2016 09:23 AM)Lrrr Wrote: It's not dead. It's certainly not at all "Active af" but we keep low membership. Not beneficial to the community at all but at least they never claimed to be. Vinnie told me they wouldn't do shit for the community a long time ago, so no false promises here. Echo: Group for people to vibe and don't care about quality. We do nothing for the community but it's still one of the groups I enjoy most, hence why I haven't left. Nightmare: The Grim isn't all that bad tbh, but I haven't seen anything noteworthy and it's just a meme at the moment. Red Lions: Never been in but they kicked a lot of members so they are probably up to something. I know they enforce rules and have some sort of helping system that's about helping a certain amount of people per week or something like that. Riptide: Artists. Wasn't that active when I was in. Started off great and then went downhill when Glitch started having IRL issues. If he's back now it should be back to how it started. Dawn: Was in for like 2 days. Group to vibe in with somewhat of a couple purposes. Tbh it was like Echo but less low quality. Enigma: Not sure. Was supposed to be about coding at first but turned into a group wanting activity. Seems like every coding group on HF these days just goes downhill 0-100 real quick. Fusion: Never been in but I heard it's dead. Idea is a good one but imo it would never work out on HF simply because members go inactive all the time and it'd fuck up the teams and events. Squad: Was here for like 6 weeks and didn't do anything I deem noteworthy. Maybe the inside was different but I doubt it. The only thing I saw was a lot of products and services being pushed out. The Order: Lounge group with a family vibe. EXTREMELY active. I've talked to Krave about some community projects so we might do something soon. Eternal: Semi-active group that focuses on lounge topics. Completely went a different way than the group was intended and at the moment when I left (~2 weeks ago) it was just a place for the people of vices to talk. I'll be honest though: I've seen a couple of good threads branded under Eternal's name. Brotherhood: Group with lots of sectors. Pretty active at the moment. We are definitely doing things for the community, but I still feel like it's crowded. Royalty: Heard it's dead. Don't know how it's doing now that Grievous is gone. Legends: Actually a pretty good and unique group. Minecrafters: We're semi-active and have our own server. Don't think we'll do anything for the community but we're expanding so I'm not sure. Well aren't you a cutie. 😊 Looking forward to getting some stuff setup with you.
Honestly, If Red Lions wasn't taking up 90% of my HF time, I would love to be active in Legends again. Bull and DamienVC are legit in my opinion

They have no powers other than being able to add and remove members lmao. That is so wrong in so many ways. Leaders are critical to keeping a group active. If it weren't for my leaders, we wouldn't even have anyone in the SF right now, but our subforums are still more active than other groups simply because of the leaders (even though we were on sale for like the past month). You don't even have to be a leader. Just the members themselves have so much power over how great the group is. One member being in the group and committing to the group is often enough to spark discussion among everyone else. Instead of placing the blame on group this, group that, look at yourself and ask what you're doing for groups right now. I've taken a good deal of blame for how Riptide turned out because of my sale and everything, but in all honesty, it is still doing pretty well because we have members and leaders that want it to be successful. That's the difference. nameless
