It's better to do this than to rely on users to change their password themselves. Some are still ignorant and choose not to change their passwords just because they have 2FA activated.

I'm not sure if you did this in the last email (I had a Hotmail email connected so I didn't get it, changed now though), but I think you should put something in the email about using Authy for 2fa and enabling backups.
