So recently I've started using Php frameworks to do PHP developer after being interested after seeing my friends project and how simple things were done.
Now it raises the question, why are frameworks not used as much in the HF PHP development section? For examaple, Laravel is just an amazing framework. Makes everything so easy and scalable. The same thing goes for slim, it's great for small RESTful API services.
So why is there not a huge use of it? Even the source code of HF products written in PHP don't use frameworks.
because everybody in this section is a fucking retard bar about 4 people, all of which are using frameworks

I often tend to steer away from frameworks for my projects that have a goal of taking most of the load. I personally prefer to not rely on a different set of code which I myself did not write. However when it comes down to things like a framework for database session management, I am more than happy to implement it.
Really Libraries should be used in the case of security based purposes- Allow the pros to do the work on something you are likely to screw up.
Otherwise the use of frameworks can be completely up to the choice of the dev. Many may not even know a class already exists for a task they are trying to achieve.
That and generally speaking, PHP is so easy to get started that it is many's first choice when it comes to web development. The problem with this is often most new "developers" don't put enough effort in to learn how to develop correctly depending on the situation. As such many may not even know it is possible to easily import frameworks into your PHP scripts. You can often find this section to be a great example. Here and there you can find people who have good topics like yours, or who have put effort into a situation and just need a bump in the right direction. Then the rest is just a bunch of random kids who can't be arsed to do it correctly or even practice with anything not first written by someone else.
I think it's a shame that there's not more framework talk in here. Judging by the posts I've read though, there's more beginners than actual developers here. I personaly wouldn't reccomend an absolute beginner to dive into a framework without udnerstanding the basics of PHP first.
Maybe this is just me, but laravel is kind of confusing to some, especially to beginners that are still exploring the language.(me)

Exactly. I was reading article related to Frameworks and i got that for beginners Codeignitor framework is best.
But Laravel is popular among all Frameworks

I'll give that a shot, hopefully it is less advanced and easier to use
EDIT: After looking through the github and searching for some examples i find it easier and better to use, i strongly suggest people that are new with PHP/frameworks to use Codeignitor. Thanks Kushal.
If frameworks didnt exist for php, i would never use php.
Im using Laravel though, done few projects already.
Im opened to try something new, and im mostly doing SPAs, somewhat a rest service to supply data and js in frontend part.
Oh okay thanks for all your input guys. For a long time I was so bored in coding because I wasn't learning anything new, but picking up Laravel has made me more excited to learn web development using frameworks. I'm so glad I started, now I have something to enjoy and look forward to.

Most people here don't use here because they don't know how to

This.
A lot of people here are beginners and still aren't writing proper code in the first place. Frameworks have their own learning curve to use correctly and honestly I'd rather see the majority of people here continue learning plain php than to abuse a framework because they don't know how to use it right. I also think frameworks are a detriment to beginners because they abstract away complexities that the developer would otherwise be exposed to. For a beginner starting with a framework, session management, authentication, and such "just magically happen" and they don't learn how they work or how to secure that feature.
The main reason people aren't using frameworks is because they don't have enough knowledge to do it. This is HackForums after all...
It all depends on the size of the project, for small projects I like to keep it organized and use my own script. But if it's a big project, which typically involved a lot of coding that's when I stick with frameworks.
I couldn't use laravel 4.x for most my jobs because they wanted a PSR compliant framework. Laravel is also quite a heavy framework and not suited for small/simple applications.
I am currently working on a very exciting project with Laravel 5 and Lumen for the API.
