Do you know why you're supposed to throw ice water over your head? It causes the body to react similar to ALS so people can get a very small glimpse at what it's like having ALS.
Not sure how you can say people don't donate when the previous challenge raised over $100M. Just a shame that it doesn't all go into research instead most of it's lost due to taxes and other
corporate funding which is stupid. World is run by greedy fucks. The rich get richer.

These little challenges help to get it out in the open, raise awareness. I guarantee most people had never heard of ALS until it became a trend and "celebrities" started joining in.
Anyway, each to their own. I don't take part either.

I didn't know about ALS until the 2014 challenge, seen the videos popping up on Youtube one day and then I looked into it and I was like oh thats cool.

So I have to agree 100% with you on that it raises awareness considering these challenge made me aware of ALS.

You sound like a fucking idiot right now. My home state is in a serious drought right now, and it's getting pretty bad. We get hefty fines for going over the water limit (which is LOW).

I get what you're trying to say, but I think you don't realize water wasting actually is an issue. Not that the ALS ice water challenge is really that big of a deal... I'm not over here shaming anyone for "water wasting" when they participate in it. But I do think you need to reshape the way you view water conservation.
