Hi Guys,

yesterday i had to recover my windows, i've already setup a recovery usb
before recovery i had 2 drivers : C , D
i thought recovery won't affect D (where i store all my files)
but after recovery i found only one driver : C .. with th whole size of Hard disk

i need to recover those files on D
i tried some recovery apps but didn't work, they only restore files which were on C originally ...

It doesn't see your Hard Drive. Reboot your PC into the bios, and see if your 2nd Hard Disk shows up in devices.

i've only 1 hard drive 500G
and after ststem recovery, C takes 465G m and D disappeared
Aha your hard drive probably existed out of 2 partitions. You can always try Recuva/look for backups, there is no other way you are getting your files back.

Recuva (by piriform) is a really crappy program. It will FIND some items, but more often than not, it doesn't recover them properly enough to actually read the files or folders in question. Basically, you end up with a list of all the stuff you want, but you can't open any of them. It's the equivalent of laughing in your face. Its success rate in terms of recovering readable files is incredibly low.

If you want a true and good program that will actually recover the files and allow you to open them, use R-Studio. I use it at work sometimes for our customers and the success rate is incredibly high. I have successfully recovered many readable files and folders for different customers by using this tool.

The proper site is "r-studio dot com" - I would post the link but my account lacks these permissions.

Good luck.
