It got overrun with fraud back a couple years ago. I set-up a forum called SeForums.co which eventually became what is now known as Social Engineered which is actually censored on HF I think. This also led to me starting up my first real business. All thanks to Omni banning the SE section actually.

Anywho- OP I don't think Omni will bring it back. It was rather LQ and rep4rep. If you can think of ways for preventing these, you'd probably be onto something even more than just that particular section but instead a forum-wide idea. :)

I don't think it really needs to be re-added. There really isn't a distinguishable difference between upgraded and non-upgraded members besides their upgrade status, so there wouldn't really be any discussions inside the subforum that couldn't be had outside of it too. I don't think any sort of VIP section would be beneficial to the forum and/or its members.

Wasn't the UML IN the VIP? Me, Trust, Krew, Roytoy, Promethazine, Gary, Anime, to name a few, kind of got that closed. Yeah, sorry about that.

The VIP section was very low quality - that was it's problem. So many "Just got Ub3r" threads and giveaways for rep and stuff. There was actually very little VIP content (content that would merit upgrading your account). At this point, upgrading your HF account helps you browse the forum and helps in the Marketplace.

If upgraded members provided quality content to a private section, sure. But that didn't really happen for years.
