My adwcleaner says "database corrupted" every time I run it and try to scan for adware/viruses.
I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and it says the same thing.
Here's a screenshot of it.

Clean your temp folder then install adwcleaner again.

Just a question on topic with this application. ADW is getting flagged by more malware scanners everyday and if you run a virus check on it, it brings a few false positives.
ProtectNull do you have an explanation for this? Its annoying as some clients get concerned when using ADW as it gets flagged by their AV

AdwCleaner is getting flagged by more malware scanners? Is this the installer? Using the latest installer I have used VirusTotal as a example
https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/afb1a...467795617/
It only has 1/52 which is quiet explainable for this one, BKAV antivirus most likely has its scanning algorithms too 'paranoid' this usually happens when it detects a certain string or hex and flags it as a malware.
But I don't know for your situation is this the installer or the installed .exe, can you elaborate?

Ah so the installer, yeah the latest build is only detected by BKAV, which is false positive

I tried downloading adwcleaner on sites other than bleepingcomputer and toolslib, and it was recognized as a virus and removed by my primary AV software.
Apparently those are the only two safe places to download it.
