Remote IPv4 Address

Hello, I am new here. I am looking for information on what you can do with a public IP. I'm just looking for a comprehensive list of methods that a black hat hacker could use to access a user's computer. Is it possible to actually get into the modem at that point and through to the router and obtain the private IPs of individual computers?

Or is this only possible via Trojan horse?
I'm not sure, but when you manage to get into the router I think you can see every device that's connected to it. So I think: yes, that's possible.
It is possible but private IP addresses won't do nothing the only thing that would be worth doing is taking off the Firewall
Great..Looking into it, out.
Most compromises on computers are from either malware, or attacks that target a user via their browser such as drive-by exploits. Very rarely will a modem have open ports that aren't filtered, as for "Going straight through the modem" logically yes, and no. It depends on the circumstances. Trojan horses don't infect people through "ports" and rarely would exploitation be worth a damn. If you're looking to infect somone use a RAT, if you're looking to find somone look into ISP doxing via the private investigation section, if you're looking to do something with the modem, get a stresser. But rarely will there be an exploit that openly effects a NEEDs device such as their modem that doesn't use the browser of a user as it's entry point.

Great post Linux. It's very much appreciated, and you helped me narrow down my search for information.
