I won't give out any details confirming or denying letter or number ranges, but I will say that nobody has found the 'key' to this puzzle yet.

So key as in geography or as in sample that represents each animal as such - maybe each animal is represented in a zodiac manner which in turn is represented by a character.

At this point we don't know if the 5 characters are in the english language *symbols included

Keeping in mind it's Hermes we are discussing, it could be Enoch▲ / Egypt▲ / Flood▲ / Idris▲ / Islam▲ / Greek▲

If someone can try those because I currently can't.

Maybe it's a place name where you can find each of those animals north, south, east and west of there.

Just tested them, did not work.

There's also a specific curve if you look at the bottom images that look like "cutouts"- their shapes match some shapes found in the animals images.
Maybe someone can take a look at that and see if something pops up.

I tried Pagan, Satan, almost every "evil" beast that I heard of + the Alt 30, but without success.

I can firmly say this isn't cicada 3301 puzzle. I went through their wikipedia uncovering-cicada wikipedia and that picture is not mentioned. I was going through their twitter account and the latest puzzle was this https://t.co/LxS3RDz2AC but it is down. There was a whole bunch of onion websites that we'd have to go through but most of them are dead and required old pgp's. It's nothing now, this was I suppose a sham. The same user Hermes posted on the 4chan/x/ board a looong time ago and no one paid attention to it I suppose. He doesn't seem to have any cicada ties.

Yeah I tried with uppercase lower case and replaced the i's with 1's n shit every combo I could think of and nothing. It's a dummy png.
