College Hostel:
500Mb/s on college LAN (one of the best in any college in India), 30-40 Mb/s on college wifi (limited by the wifi router capabilities).
Cost : Can't say exactly, the tuition fee covers the internet costs :p

At home:
4Mbps (limited to 40GB usage) - costs 15$ a month (approximate conversion to dollars).

When I'm close to my router I get 230 down, where my desktop is I get 160 down, still not complaining though. I get about 35 up. I upgraded recently and I used to get 3.5 max down and 0.9 up. I pay about £40-50 per month for 700GB. KCOM have really upped their game this year.
