HOW TO LOCK YOUR FOLDER:
1) make your folder on the desktop
2) open your command line
3) type: cd desktop
4)now type: Cacls "Folder name" /E /P everyone:n


If you want to unlock your folder, type: Cacls "Folder name" /E /P everyone:f

so does this just make the folder hidden on the desktop from everyone? and if i go into file explorer and click desktop will it show up?? or is it fully hidden?

It doesnt makes folder hidden, its just set up on admin´s password so nobody who doesnt knows the password cant enter that folder unless you unlock it.

another way to go about this would be the attrib command in windows

to hide: attrib +S +H "Folder/Filename.something"
to show: attrib -S -H "Folder/Filename.something"

this would set the folder/file As: Hidden System File/Folder which means its not even visible when you try to view hidden files in explorer
