Was bored, so typed this up for FFXIV.

Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn is the relaunch of Final Fantasy XIV, and takes place right after the calamity that takes place at the end of the original game (1.0). It has datacenters for NA, EU, and Asia regions. Costs $13 a month for the entry subscription.
Races
While race can impact starting stats, it's not as important as, say, Everquest or Final Fantasy XI. You're free to pick whichever race you want as the stat difference is fairly negligible.
Au Ra - Dragon-esque race with horns, scales, and a tail. Heavensward only.
Elezen - Elf race that is fairly tall and slender.
Hyur - Human race.
Lalafell - Tiny race that resembles a child. Objectively the best race.
Miqo'te - Cat race.
Roegadyn - Huge race, perfect for Incredible Hulk cosplay.
Classes
Classes can be obtained by talking to guildmasters around the 3 major cities; Gridania, Limsa Lominsa, and Ul'Dah. The current classes are:
Arcanist (ACN) - DPS role that also uses a pet for more damage. Branches into Summoner (DPS) and Scholar (Healer).
Archer (ARC) - DPS role that is fairly weak in comparison to the others, but has the advantage of being able to stay at a distance. Branches into Bard.
Conjurer (CNJ) - Healer role, has the strongest heals in the game. Branches into White Mage.
Gladiator (GLD) - Tank role, the weakest of the three, but also the easiest as well as having the most defensive capabilities. Branches into Paladin.
Lancer (LNC) - DPS role, one of the strongest and relies on positionals and keeping buffs up. Branches into Dragoon.
Marauder (MRD) - Tank role, the strongest of the three, but has the least defensive cooldowns. Branches into Warrior.
Pugilist (PGL) - DPS role, one of the strongest and relies strongly on positionals and keeping buffs/stacks up. Branches into Monk.
Rogue (ROG) - DPS role, decently strong and has great utility at later levels. Branches into Ninja.
Thaumaturge (THM) - DPS role, very strong AoE damage, spell-based. Branches into Black Mage.
Jobs
Once you hit level 30 in a primary class and 15 in a secondary class (with the exception of Heavensward jobs) you are able to take up a job and gain job-specific abilities and traits.
Summoner (SMN) - Pet-based, takes all the skills from Arcanist while also having its own job abilities. Great AoE damage. 30 Arcanist, 15 Thaumaturge
Scholar (SCH) - Pet-based, takes all the skills from Arcanist while also having its own job abilities. While it has weaker heals than the other 2 healers, it is great at damage mitigation. (30 Arcanist, 15 Conjurer)
Bard (BRD) - Ranged DPS that supports the party with songs, takes all skills from Archer while also having its own job abilities. While comparatively weak to most DPS, they are invaluable in a raid setting due to their utility. (30 Archer, 15 Pugilist)
White Mage (WHM) - Strongest heals in the game, takes all skills from Conjurer while also having its own job abilities. Great for inexperienced healers or for healing through strong damage. (30 Conjurer, 15 Arcanist)
Paladin (PLD) - Best traditional tank in the game, takes all skills from Gladiator while also having its own job abilities. Considered the easiest, it's great for inexperienced tanks but also amazingly self-sufficient and good at damage mitigation. (30 Gladiator, 15 Marauder)
Dragoon (DRG) - Currently tied for the highest DPS in the game, takes all skills from Lancer while having its own job abilities. One of the easier DPS jobs, but can output tons of damage. (30 Lancer, 15 Pugilist)
Warrior (WAR) - Hardest hitting tank, basically a glorified DPS, takes all skills from Marauder while also having its own job abilities. This is the go to off tank because of the damage debuff and slash debuff. (30 Marauder, 15 Gladiator)
Monk (MNK) - Currently tied for the highest DPS in the game, takes all skills from Pugilist while having its own job abilities. Considered one of the harder DPS classes, it's all about keeping Greased Lightning stacks up, your DoTs up, and your buffs/debuffs up. (30 Pugilist, 15 Archer)
Ninja (NIN) - DPS with a ton of utility, takes all skills from Rogue while having its own job abilities. Does decent damage while also being able to help out the rest of the party. (30 Rogue, 15 Pugilist)
Black Mage (BLM) - DPS that specializes in AoE damage, also very strong on single targets and has unlimited MP if managed properly. Takes all skills from Thaumaturge while having its own job abilities. Every group will want at least one of these in their party for DPS checks. (30 Thaumaturge, 15 Arcanist)
Machinist (MCH) - DPS with a ton of utility fairly similar to a Bard, being a Heavensward job it requires no base class, just getting through the base game's main story.
Dark Knight (DRK) - Tank with fantastic magical damage mitigation and also does fairly decent damage, basically a mix between Paladin and Warrior. Being a Heavensward job it requires no base class.
Astrologian (AST) - Healer that can switch between different "sects" to either shield or regenerate health. Being a Heavensward job it requires no base class.

Pay to play. If this only covers free games, don't bother adding it.

The only MMO I've ever gotten into besides Runescape. Going on over 1 year of constant sub, the game is definitely worth every penny.
since some people asked me to do .
This week / next week , i'll update the list , that means - i'll change some games from letters since there is better games to play with more and more community.
:)
