Kali linux lost internet connection?

Hi there,

Well I don't seem to have access to the internet anymore. I can see that i'm actually connected to my wifi, but still have no access? I did ifconfig, and everything seems to be fine. However I opened /etc/resolv.conf file through command line, and saw that the file was completely empty? Does that mean anything?

I also tried with
ifconfig wlan0 down
ifconfig wlan0 up
service network-manager restart

Still nothing.

Anyone can help?

Thanks in advance 🤝

EDIT:

I solved the problem.
I had to create a new file in /etc/resolv.conf, and add my nameserver "nameserver 192.168.1.1" without quotes and save it. It finally works. Thanks to the ones that tried to help 🤝
try to set static ip, in some cases that solves the problem

service network-manager restart? i think kali uses systemd, so you can try:
Code
systemctl restart network OR systemctl restart NetworkManager
i am not sure about service name though, you can check it by typing only "systemctl" in terminal, and without quotes
@ayleid96

Still not working, and by static IP how do you mean?

Please anyone can help?
#vim /etc/dhcp/dhclient.conf
/prepend
check that line to find any DNS servers,
if not you can add dns servers in that line.
When done remove the '#' from the line.
ping the dns servers just to make sure they work

#service network-manager restart

No still not working. I tried to ping my gateway it does work. I also pinged google it worked? Is there any other solution? Is there anyway I could re-install all the network by a command line?
