I see a few people selling credit for mercari, at ridiculous rates, like 30-40% of the price. Isn't this against the rules? This guy openly admits that he's selling credits he obtained from RAT's. Before you call me an idiot, just take a look:

I'd deal with caution, this looks like it could be carded. EDIT: It's not carded, apparently you can only use bank.

Apparently it's done via a mercari API exploit, still fraud and illegal.

Also: This is not to defame the people selling it, I'm not accusing them of carding. I'm just saying it's sketchy and that you should be cautious.

I'd deal with caution, this looks like it could be carded. Maybe it's just done by a referral bot, but honestly you can't take a chance. Even then it's still fraud.

I've looked into the app itself and I'm pretty sure you cannot card credits. The only way I saw was to add a bank account and transfer credits via that. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you cannot card this.

As in mass spreading he means spreading his referral code to a mass audience because thats the only way you get these referal credits.

Mercari has a ref system where you get like a $2 per sign up. He is most likely using the "rats/spreading" as proxy's for new accounts.

Here's the thing these accounts can't be carded as its referral system, is this again HF rules (Not 100% sure) but either way this report isn't really valid in my opinion as what you with these accounts is on you. This is like buying any type of premium account its against the ToS of that website to use them, do people still do it of course, will you get in-trouble highly doubt it. Like he stated most they have done so far is closed the account.

I'm not really defending him. I'm more annoyed that someone would go to such high levels of bitchery as to make a thread. It grinds my gears. I personally don't know whether or not I'll get billed if I do there is no way for them to prove that I did anything illegal. I posted my code on a Reddit thread and it popped off. Regardless I'll just move on it's none of my business anymore :)

How does warning the community of potential fraud harm anybody? Even if OP's wrong, he'd still have done his part in trying to keep this marketplace safer.

But the Mercari referral system is there for a reason (get publicity!!) Mercari is a valued at over 1 billion dollars, they got over 32 MILLION downloads! The company has put XXX amount of money (credits) away for this "referral" stuff. I have told Mercari how to fix the problem (twice now!) and all they said to me was they would get back in contact with me if it was serious, and they never did. So I am assuming them losing this money means nothing to them! If they wanted to truly fix the problem they could.

I am not using a RAT, or spreading the referral code. I have found an exploit within the Mercari API, which is why I can make account and load accounts at ease. In my thread I have a stated that you can ask any question that comes to your mind. I am happy to answer them all
