What I would like:

How would I add a paying subscription area for clients on my current wordpress?
Broken down I would like this:
Client enters webpage.
Wants to access certain content.
Needs to subscribe and pay with credit/debit card.
Client is then either sent an email with password to said content or its all done automatically.

Could really use some help on this.

I like the plugins from Tips and Tricks HQ. They have WP EMember which is a membership site plugin or you can use WP EStore for downloadable products or combining both of them might be more of what you're looking for. They're easy to setup and they've been updating them for years now.

Sweet thanks. I will totally look into both of those.

Have you combined them? IS that possible? How would I combine them?

Easy Digital Downloads is great if you want subscribers to receive PDFs after payment through PayPal (or CC), otherwise you may have to use something like BuddyPress to create a community type interface but that's much more complicated.

Membership 2 plugin works well. There is a free and premium version.

They complement each other. They're made from the same company. I've been using them off and on for probably about 5 years.
