Ok, I am photoshop cs5.1 user, a bit better than a beginner but still not an expert.
I see that a lot of plugins are released for CS6 and CC but the interface of CS6 is kinda changed from a quick look I had.
My question is what should I do?
Should I do remain on CS5.1 despite all the goodies that come up?
or should I change to CS6 or CC?
What do you suggest and why?
P.S. I use photoshop for improving colors and stuff for my photos mostly, but I want to develop my skills on graphic design
I think the upgrade to CC would be worth it for you.
Adobe has a whole place where you can search for presets and stock images and more with CC (some aren't free though)
Also, if you get the CC subscription (not sure which one or if its offered still) you get most all the Adobe Products for a low monthly rate.
There is also some nice added features, can't remember all the differences but there is some.
I feel if you can afford, it's worth it.

I'm only a basic user of Photoshop aswell and I was using CS5, I upgraded to CC and all I can say is if anything it's better, definitely not worse. Depending on what extent you use it for might change your mind but both are fine for simple use
Definetely CC. The layout isnt changed as much, it is all the same but then with even more features. Ive been using Photoshop (and many more Adobe programs) Since CS.. (Not sure :P) And could adjust just fine to the new updates.
Photoshop CC is the best (in my opinion)

Im studying multimediadesign and we have to have CC, I have used CS6 in the past but I do like the advantage in addons, stock photoes etc. you can download straight off CC

CC is the most update version, of course it's the best with most features. I'm using cracked CS6 and it's very good, I'm very pleased with it. I think it's impossible to crack CC as it's cloud based so CS6 would be a good option instead.

Damn, I've been living under a rock. 🤣 I think if it's cloud based you can't really crack it, guess I was really really wrong. However, I do know that they got hacked almost first day that cloud was launched.
