Going to be doing some pentesting on it, just bought it for its size/capabilities. I still can't decide if it was a good purchase or not.
For what you paid, it wasn't a bad deal.
How much do they cost new? I might buy one.
If I ain't got it, pockets hurting, I'ma rob a person
I also have a chromebook and it is an asus, basically got it for a stealing price brand new. I think it is well worth it honestly, if you know what you're getting into , no download etc. BUT I am thinking about converting it to linux after school is done.

I know I could flick it off tonight for double what I paid which is great.

Not sure what they cost new, from what I could see at the time from a quick google they average $300 new.
Got a free Chromebook from somebody, installed Debian on it and I use it for very light productivity tasks.
I don't middleman any deals on- or off-site. Please don't message me requesting my past services and certainly don't fall for anybody who claims to be me.
Depending on the condition of it you got a great deal as long as it's in great condition with no problems. Did you get it on eBay or Craigslist?

I'm downloading HP Chromebook Spring kali image now - so hopefully I can get it running without issues.

Condition was 3 weeks old when it got taken in. I bought it from a cash for items shop - it has been to 3 shops in the last 2 months and hasn't sold. They bought it off the customer for a $300 loan and the customer didn't pay it back, so they kept the chromebook.

So the store paid 300$ for the laptop and ends up saleing it to you for 130$ so the store takes a loss and you end up getting a bargain not bad.

Yeah they just needed to sell it lol so that's why I just grabbed it.
Will post back results of testing some tools.

Nice color. How's battery life, I had an Hp at one time and the battery was not ideal as far as time between charging.

I've always prefer to have chrome OS on a small device. Most HF members would want windows OS on any toaster oven simply because they feel the need to run software made for good hardware. If I need good hardware I'll just take my gaming laptop with me or stay home with my build. Until then something fast, simple, portable and cheap is all you need if the only thing you'll be doing is using chrome browser and that's where chrome OS takes the cake.
I hope you didn't spend the bed donation money for this.

Althrough, looks like a decent laptop for schoolwork.

My partner wanted it so she started typing 5 minutes after turning it on and said nah you have it lol

I wont be using the Chrome OS - that's coming straight off but I get what you mean.

It's purpose is beyond school work and yeah got the bed sorted. They have to make the base and restock the mattress unfortunately so wont be getting it till early December but will be sure to upload a pic.
For just browsing (which it's what it's really intended for) and portability, it's amazing, I'll tell you that. Although it can still stutter with YouTube, and of course multiple tabs.

But for that price, great!
