Okay so I haven't seen this happen before and I don't even know what to call it or search for to see if it's already been reported.

But what seems to be happening in the lounge if the OP of a thread gets exiled the 1st person to reply to that thread then becomes the OP.

The thread below is an example of this. I renamed the title and the OP because it was an utter lq thread which then looks bad on me it was a racist thread.

I also know the same thing happened earlier to this thread which Mr. Robot has now become OP to.

On the above thread if you go to the sixth page it says the thread doesn't exist, this seems to be part of the bug.

I'm not sure if the staff are aware of this if it's been reported before please let me know and I will remove this, I've just never seen this happen before and now it's happened twice in one day.

It just made it look like I had posted a racist thread insulting the HF community as a whole, clearly by a multi.

I'm going to leave it up for now so omni or another staff member can look into it, it might help them find out the issue.

This happens because junked posts are only artifically moved to a junk section and the thread isn't deleted. It's not a bug, it's just a mistake that some mentors/staff (?) make.

Yes I believe so I can't find the OP of the thread he was completely removed from it.

I'm positive & it's not a bug.

Again, it doesn't happen if mentors/staff members junk the threads the correct way - sometimes they only delete the OPs' posts which makes the next poster the OP. There's nothing to fix.

Okay I still think the issue should be addressed because it looks extremely bad and if another member of staff had seen me with that thread how it was I could've received a ban or warning for it 🤣

Ya had it happen to me it's when the op is junked or moved the thread is still there and moved the next post to op.
