The web based version of skype, safe from any method of obtaining an IP from a skype username? I understand there are IP grabbers you need to be aware of, but is there anything that someone can do to obtain my IP using my email or just adding me as a contact.

I don't think Skype Deob's work for mobile or web. I may be wrong though.

Thanks for the input. How accurate is using Deob's? My understanding is that it puts out a range of IPs? Is there any way to protect yourself from it?

I think it's spot on. I typically use web Skype, but that's the most insight I can give.

Just get a browser-based VPN and call it there. I've been using Skype on web recently and have had no issues with people getting my ip or w/e, although, I don't sit at home all day harassing kids on minecraft to worry about using skype.

I won't ever be in a call with an unknown contact so that shouldn't be a problem. I'll look into getting a browser based VPN.

Him can call to you 1 sec and stop calling you no need to accept call and boom IP in wireshark !
Skype is retarted so without vpn or proxy don't use skype. 🤗

Skype for web or not, Skype IP resolvers no longer work, Skype patched that long ago, now stop troubling yourself and install skype.
