Ticked at Bitcoin

(Nov 24, 2016 01:01 PM)Omniscient Wrote:  Anyone else irate over the unconfirmed transactions with Bitcoin? I have a 48 hour old transaction that's $1100. A lot of my other transactions are also having huge delays and problems. Members paying for stickies and upgrades are timing out at Coinpayments repeatedly and even worse they are experiencing issues getting a refund because their payments aren't confirmed yet.

This is just very disruptive to anyone who uses Bitcoin frequently. Any business right now running off BTC is dealing with a disaster and even worse is that Black Friday is tomorrow.

This is ruining my Thanksgiving mood too.

Anyone else ticked off?

Very ticked off.

I don't know how, but for some reason my BTC wallet is confirming all my BTC again. I had like $200 BTC but it's all being confirmed again which is weird.

RETURNING ALL REP WITH A +3 REP.
This is happening almost every couple of weeks now :(. Not good.
Yup. I have a few hundred dollar transactions that havnt confirmed in 3 days now.
I apologize to everyone truly. I didn't do what I did just for the hell of it. Family needed food and a roof.

I'm trying to imagine this in future commercial markets.

Pay $3 + $100 fee in BTC for a coffee, or pay $3 and stand in Starbucks for 11 hours waiting for enough confirmations to enjoy a fucking frappuccino.

I have had to stay away from BTC for the past 2 days now because of this mess. I have a few payments from customers from over 48 hours ago that have not received a confirmation yet.

Which is why Bitcoin Core needs to do something. Honestly feel that ETH is the future.
That's exactly what I mean by my reference. Bitcoin is like the first car, there were problems and people still valued the horse and buggy. It adapted and grew into the automotive industry

There is a great ted talk on this called the future of money. I can't remember exactly but I believe the speakers name was something along the lines of Neha Nerula. Regardless she is the director of crypto currency research at MIT

Out of curiosity could miners essentially go on strike for higher fees

But in a perfect world is that possible?
Literally irraticating the currency?

Theoretically, yes.
Realistically, absolutely not.

Is there a powerhouse in miners? Where like 10 huge mining companies control like 70% or something. It seems individual mining is useless now
I think that it will be alright Omni :)

BTC price may rise up to $1000 a piece so we are making profit with BTC at the end of the day!

Our gov is flooding the system to stop people from finding assange's key hidden in the block chain.
The network is catching up.
