So on the group management page, you get an Email and a PM button. Now for me the Email button doesn't work for whatever reason - obviously no permission to use it, but I was curious as to if Group Owners have access to the button and are able to see users emails from it?

I highly doubt the answer is yes, but it was just something that I was wanting to clear up.

I just find it an interesting function to have sitting there if it's unusable.

Like nobody uses the WWW feature for users websites under each post, but they use the website listed on users profiles.

I think its just part of MyBB itself which Omni hasn't removed, because I think only admins have the permission to email members. Those without the button have probably disabled the "Receive emails from administrators"

Yep group leaders and owners can't use the function but I'm pretty sure staff and admin can.

Maybe just admin.

Can they see the users email? No.
Can they use it to send emails to users? I have no idea.

I believe the way the button would work is it would send an email through the HackForums mail-server to the corresponding email attached to the specified users account ID.

I am a group owner and I can confirm that whenever I click the email button it shows up with a you aren't authorized access message (the one you get when you click a group subforum that you're not in)

Even if you are authorized, I don't believe you get access to their email. You are brought to a page where you can compose an email and send it, then it is sent through the forum's mailer. I do not know what the return address is.

I think there should be a mass PM button for group owners/leaders.
If the PM limit wasn't so small, I'd write a script to do it.

Is that actually true? I didn't notice a difference when I was a leader because I never hit the limit anyway, but I wouldn't expect leaders to have different PM abilities because that only depends on 3p1c/l33t/ub3r status doesn't it?

I don't think they have different cooldown limits. 3p1c can pretty much bring the cooldown to 1 sec so thats it.
