Perhaps read all the posts in the thread and it'll be clarified.

He's stated that he's under 18, and honestly, you wouldn't fuck around with a fake name etc when selling something for 5 figures on a site. I can't blame him for trying to sell this for BTC when he's at that age over going through an escrow site that won't back him due to him breaching the TOS should anything go south.

You have legal rights to modify registered data informations about you. He just needs to modify them and put his parents ones(By asking them firsts, but for such a big earning why the hell would they say no anyway).
"Essentially I'm giving you an opportunity to flip your cash in 4x (or more), and none of you are seeing it except the guy who bid $5k."
Just by modifying the infos you gave to the hoster, you'll save as you said 4x(or more) than what you would sell it here for.

When I was < 18, even if I was flipping something for mad profit my parents would have flayed me alive for even having put up that much cash to have the opportunity. It depends on the person's parental situation entirely.
Again, I don't know this guy, but if you go through an escrow/MM and actually acquire the domain, this has stupid potential for profit. Every flip is always a risk of course, but there's some big cash that could be made here.

This domain is worth $200 - 1000 at BEST, and it would take a lot of searching to even get that much.
Nobody on hackforums is going to spend over $5000 on a domain dude.
You still haven't posted proof of ownership on any of your domain sales threads, as far as I'm concerned you're a scammer trying to make a quick buck.
if you think this is worth 1k you should burn your computer
