Yeah some of the parts almost look like the could fit together but none of them actually do...

Probably just coincidence that I used white colour and the pixel design of the letters in the title of the book. Google image search is limited

I doubt it's steghide. In a few of his challenges, he makes it so something is viewable when you turn up the saturation. I think it's a red herring at most. It looks like nothing to me.
