What is an MMORPG
Massively multiplayer online role-playing game, MMORPG) is a genre of computer role-playing games in which a very large number of players interact with one another within a virtual game world.
As in other role-playing games, players assume the role of a character (usually a fantasy world) and control the majority of its operations. Role-playing games mass differ from role-play for single player or role-playing online with a small number of players, the bulk of the players who take part in them, and in the continuing of the game (which is usually the company's servers distributor), which continues to exist and evolve even when the player is attached to it and playing it. However, there are games that combine game play only mass - when cities and battlefields to meet with people and labyrinths player is alone. Examples of such games Diablo 3 and Path of Exile.
MMO types
When I say I'm going to type MMO types of games, there are three types of MMO and I will mention each one with a precise explanation.
Pay2Win:
Games that let you buy better gear or allow you to make better items then everyone else at a faster rate and then makes the game largely unbalanced even for people who have skill in the game without paying.
Free To Play:
refers to video games which give players access to a significant portion of their content without paying. There are several kinds of free-to-play games, but the most common is based on the freemium software model. For freemium games, users are granted access to a fully functional game, but must pay microtransactions to access additional content. Free-to-play can be contrasted with pay to play, in which payment is required before using a service for the first time.
Pay To Play (PTP/P2P):
An online game in which you must pay in order to play. Also refeared to as "P2P", not to be confused with Peer To Peer
List of popular MMORPG games for 2016-2017 (incoming): ArcheAge , TERA , Drakensang Online, Guild Wars 2 , Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn , World of Warcraft , BLADE & SOUL , HEROWARZ , LINEAGE ETERNAL: TWILIGHT RESISTANCE , TREE OF SAVIOR , RIDERS OF ICARUS , BLESS: EMBERS IN THE STORM , Lost Ark , Black Desert Online , Revelation Online , MU LEGEND , TOTAL WAR: ARENA.
MMO also have gameplay type:
PVE:
Usually a PvE mode can be played alone, with human companions or with AI companions. The PvE mode may contain a storyline that is narrated as the player progresses through missions. It may also contain missions that may be done in any order. For example, Guild Wars narrates its story by displaying in-game cut scenes and dialogue with non-playable characters (NPCs). To enhance replayability, missions can often be completed many times. Characters playing in this mode are often protected against being killed by other players and/or having their possessions stolen. An example of a game where this is not the case is Eve Online, where players can be, and often are, ambushed by other human players player versus player while attempting to complete a quest. Some games, such as World of Warcraft, offer the player the choice of participating in open-world PvP combat or doing quests without PvP interruption through use of specialty servers and temporary player flags.
PVP:
Short for player versus player PVP is a type of video or computer games in which the in-game combat takes place between two human players (gamers) rather than a player and a computer controlled opponent.
Dungeon:
A dungeon is one of the primary tropes in D&D(Dungeons & Dragons). In RPG terminology it is a closed environment usually having many enemies and treasure. Any respectable dungeon should have at least 8-10 levels with at least 50-100 rooms per level as a minimum. If a dungeon is smaller than this it is a mini-dungeon.
Grinding:
Grinding refers to the playing time spent doing repetitive tasks within a game to unlock a particular game item or to build the experience needed to progress smoothly through the game. Grinding most commonly involves killing the same set of opponents over and over in order to gain experience points or gold. Although other game genres require some grinding, role-playing games (RPG) – specifically massively multiplayer online role-playing games – are the most notorious for requiring this type of time investment from players.
