Side Menu - Beta

It's 2:30 AM so I am going to be making this as simple as possible (with maybe a few spelling mistakes).

I have just finished coding a beta of my program, Side Menu (If you can give it a better name I will actually credit you in the program w/ link to your HF profile)

Here is a screenshot:
Spoiler (Click to View)

It comes with a few cool features which I intend to expand:
- 3 widgets (web browser, system info and currency)
- A CMD window (which needs fixing, some commands don't work)
- Memo (automatically saves your thoughts as you write them down)
- Network tools (DNS to IP and an extremely quick port scanner)
- System Info (just a few basic things, will expand later)
- VirusTotal scanner (I love this feature, since it can scan most of your processes in the background, I say most because of access denied to paths but you shouldn't need to worry about those files anyway)
- Customisable colours
- Starts with windows (needs admin)

Things you should know before using:
- Contains bugs (i don't think it will crash)
- You need to swipe at a decent speed from the top-right corner of screen to mid-right
- Yo go back to main menu just click the time
- It's multithreaded (well most of it) so everything but the port scanner will run in the background if you exit)
- Also you can exit the program by right-clicking the icon in the tray bar

AV Scan (2/55 Because they don't like .NET. 1 even says ".NET executable", the other just detects anything that exists, how bad can AV's get)

Please let me know if you would like to use this program, any suggestions and any bugs you may find.
Nice release bro , i like it, test it and work like a charm!

Good work OP!

um.. drawer for name? or something like that..

Are these widgets part of the program or they open some app? if yes then can you post some pics? I don't have touch nor win10.

Anyway, terrific work.
This looks similar to the notification panel in win10.

Bugs i found:
I don't know how to make it work with mouse.
It's visible in the alt-tab area. Set windowstyle to toolwindow.
Double clicking on the icon in systray did nothing. It should show when doubleclicked.

Suggestions:
It'll look good with some blurred background(https://github.com/mdymel/superfastblur)
I think u should reduce the corner radius of them tiles.
Make the window a layered window and you could have selective transparency. (Blackcap has a tut)
Animation for load/close
Ability to position this on any side.

I never expected a response as detailed as this! Although most of the things you have mentioned I have previously tried and failed but I will definately add as many of your suggestions as i can! Thankyou!
EDIT: right click the icon :p haven't got round to double click yet. Also I must have changed something because a while ago I tested and it did not appear in taskview, thanks for pointing out.
Nice work.
Suggestion:
If you're going to have a tile for CMD you should include one for power-shell to.

Where does undercode.square7.ch lead to?

...never mind, the program keeps crashing whenever I try to use it.

Looks like a neat project though keep it up!
Looks interesting, will try using this some time and see what can be done :) Thanks!
- Starts with windows (needs admin)

go change the project settings to auto require admin.

Also you could add some stuff like a clipboard manager, volume sliders etc.

Its a free ftp website of mine which i will use to update the program. I was testing some different ways of doing it and it got a little messy right before i released it. Does it give an error code/message?

Isn't there a double click event for user controls?

No error code just a not responding box/crashed

Yes but I wanted a right-click menu instead. I will add it later though.
Name suggestion (Click to View)

Looks neat, would be cool if you could work in a plugin system so users could add their own modules without having to recompile the source / edit the binary.

That is actually a really good name.

Haha, I am very likely to use that name (and credit you as promised). I am not very familiar with how plugins work in VB.NET but I am willing to learn, though with all the suggestions that have been provided and university starting in a few weeks, it looks like this is going to become a long-term coding task.
