On the face of it this will seem like such a trivial thing to complain about but it has really pissed me off. Not because of what happened but the reason why.

I'm a new member here and have been enjoying my time on the forum. I'm still finding my feet and haven't posted much. One of my posts was deleted from an edition of the HF News for no other reason than to give someone else the top comment in that edition. My post was a compliment saying I enjoyed reading it.

My very first post happened to be the first in the thread HF News 327 and someone with moderating abilities decided that as a new member I was worthless and that they could delete my post so that a friend of theirs could have the first comment as he stated "Guess I'm the first one to reply. Wanted to do this sometime."

This guy "Evanescent" and his tagline says "Someday I'll be MENTOR." I don't know which moderator deleted my post or if there is any way to check. I don't see anything in CP.

New members get trampled over and policies abused for friends and aspiring mentors. I'm disgusted and I believe Omniscient would be too as he seems to run a very strict and well managed site other than having a few rogue staff who think they can trample over new members as they wish.

I don't expect anything will happen but I did want to raise the matter as one day I'll be an upgraded member and not as easily abused at the whim of a abusive staff member.

If staff allowed people's bull shit, HF wouldn't be up and running the way it is today.

AS far as I am aware the HF News is spread out among multiple posts. If you saw a single post then decided to respond they could obviously not post the rest of the edition in the same format as they usually do. Wait until the entire edition has been posted before replying.

It is wrong to use the moderator abilities in such ways, but I think that you are overreacting. It's not that you lost money or anything of importance.

No you can't check who did it only staff and admins can.

As others mentioned, it was probably a mentor or iHydra. Regardless, it's not a big deal. You shouldn't have made a thread over this.

This thread was a bad idea imo, there is no staff abuse especially because you are apparently new to this site your post could've been violating other rules, how would you know that your post was removed so another member could have first post? Does anybody actually care who has first post?

You're mistaken about a few things.

Your post was likely removed because it disrupted the flow of the HF News. You can see by the thread that the full release takes about 4 posts from the OP.

Not true. I see all the posts removed and action taken by Staff. You were not first to reply.
