I'm creating an application where you input a name and then a series of options using the treeview function. Essentially it's going to be a database of users and information for a specific game.

My only issue is how does one save this information within the application upon exiting? Is it possible or do I have to create an outside database?

I'm still not very good with vb.net but I'm trying 😵

Just serialize your data into xml and store it on disk somewhere

If you are anyway gonna use a DB than add columns for the settings.
Make a class Settings for example, manage your properties how you want them and afterwards you can "attach" those settings to a specific user and save it to DB.
