I don't know if this was on purpose with everyone or just a glitch with me, but a long bit ago I had a yin yang gif as my avatar disappear, had it for years. And poof, ended up being deleted and I had no avatar (or default one, i don't remember)
Was this on purpose or was there a change to avatars? I try to set a new yin yang avatar gif but it doesn't work, sets it to jpg. I've seen people with gif avatars recently, but I can't set one. Are there new requirements?
Apologies for the noob question, just confused/curious as to what happened.

It was most likely from the change to Always HTTPS. If you had an http avatar it was probably removed for that reason.

It should be fine, are you sure that you have it as https and that it ends with ".gif"?

I've been uploading from my PC. "Upload Avatar: (upgraded members only)"
Does this not work anymore? I'll attempt to try an https url rather than uploading.
Previously the avatar was uploaded rather than url, I believe.

Well, I got a type of yinyang avatar. I can't seem to find my original. which was sort of like this but higher quality:

It seems you can't upload them now I believe? Only use the url way, which I guess is fine. I never seemed to try it though.
It's weird how mine was like auto deleted. Maybe Omni made a prerequisite change or something. Haven't changed my Avatar since 2012, well until now that is lol.

Could just take up too much space to host everyones gifs, when imgur does just that but for free.

Who? The dedi/host that Omni uses? I used his, and no one elses until now. I'm just using puu.sh to host my avatar now. Which I mean its chill whatever works is fine with me, and I'm not upset about the avatar getting deleted, just was curious. (just wanted to let people know that it's chill, just wanted to ask the support section)
Cause you guys know more about it than me currently. Though, thank you guys for the help :D I appreciate it.
