The Tevo Tarantula is a really cheap 3D printer. For only $200 you are getting the printer + 2x 250g filament rolls + 8gb sd card (a really shitty card, but still).

I bought this printer almost three weeks ago. It arrived a week ago. I managed to assamble it in 3-4 days (assembly videos can be found on youtube and is really fun). The printing quality is really good for a $200 printer.
Also, there is a huge facebook group dedicated to this printer ready to help with any possible problem.

Just out of curiosity, how expensive is it to run one of those things? How much would filament cost...?

1kg of filament costs about ~$30
With that much filament you can print a lot of things.
As refference, all the pieces that i have in my hand in the secound image only weight 30g. (30 pieces, ~1g each)
