Remove vouch copies from the market section.

I haven't seen someone give a vouch copy and have that person write a bad review, the truth is if you give someone something for FREE they will undoubtedly write a good review whether the ebook or other type of product is terrible or not.

All this does is create fake vouches that in turn are used to attract other new hfers.

I know there's going to be someone that says "how do I gain traction on my product."
Just wait for people to purchase it.

Also all these vouches are given before they even try the product, just from reading it.

People dont always vouch aftet buying, making it hard to have good reviews

Solicit reviews from them then, if I personally buy a ebook that works (none do) I'd be willing to write a 2 page review.

if that's the case then remove all the 100 people saying

"Vouch for this user, I have seen him post on HF once before and this boosts my post count".

A lot of these "VOUCH FOR THIS USER" is just fake to boost post count which leads to some scammers on HF

That's something completely different though, they're not vouching for the product just the person.

You took the words out of my mouth, this is exactly what should happen.

Why are you trying to fix something that isn't a problem?

It is a problem though, they're literally reviewing the product before trying it out.

Removing vouches isn't the best option here.

Get like 5 verified vouchers that leave honest reviews on every section will work.

Are they? Everyone? How can you be so sure?

I got a review copy yesterday and haven't left a review yet because i am studying the ebook at the moment, not going to post a review on something that i haven't actually reviewed.

The market section itself is proof.
Look at all the threads that gave vouch copy's out.
The reviews are written within 10 minutes to an hour. (And half of that time is trying to make a good review for the person who gave them a free product. )

Lol this isn't gonna happen any time soon.

So all products are the same? Whether it is a service, software, ebook or whatever.. Come one. You simply cannot suggest this for everything in the marketplace and this part:

Quote:The reviews are written within 10 minutes to an hour

If it is a software, you don't need more than ten minutes. All you need to check is so that the functions are working, how well it works and all that. Hopefully you'll see where i am coming from, this is just what i think tho.

Anyway. You are copletely ignoring the fact that Omniscient does not accept rules suggestions.

Would be nice if people offer a price of $110 for example and then a $10 rebate for a review weather bad or good.

Seems like an alright idea but I can imagine some butthurt people not giving money back if they got a bad review
The seller should choose the right people for vouch copies that will not lie to impress the seller.

This is not a good idea. Sometimes a person who is new to the forum will want to sell something but nobody will trust them and the best option when that happens is for a UB3R to be given a vouch copy to confirm its a working method/not a scam.
Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.
I think sellers should have the right to give away review copies, and it's up to the potential buyer on how to interpret the legitimacy of those reviews.
