So heres the deal... my buddys incarcerated. They got phones that have been snuck into prisons. The problem with this is that the investigative units and other inmates are constantly stealing phones or confiscating phones. What programs can help block them from having access to the information on the phones. Usually they just try to open the phone and check it out, a password blocks that but now they send the phones out to ca company to try to get info off of the phone. Why is this bad? Well if an inmate uses a cellphone, calls a number on their call list and the phone gets confiscated.... the phone numbers get ran against the numbers in all of the inmates call logs through the federal phone system... you can bypass this with google voice numbers etc, but not everyone on the street is tech savvy enough to get a new number etc... and its not just the numbers we wanna protect, its text messages, pictures, etc... is there. Also a self destruct app available if there are too many failed login attempts. I dont mean like formatting a computer... the feds still can get info off it... im talking like a auto selfdestruct DBAN davids boot and nuke program. Thanks in advance guys, if theres something i didnt mention and you think it could help me please mention it.

Because there are some people in this world who dont like to be herded around like sheep and live a so called normal life... working a 9-5 job for little pay and never being able to be happy or comfortable because they are always worried about paying the next bills.... some people arent able to have a normal upbringing or lifestyle that most americans live... i understand where you are coming from but you also have to try their shoes on and see their point of view as well. Also some people dont have money to pay the $4 for every fifteen minute call, especially when the prison jobs only pay them $5-45 a month. Thanks for your input though. Oh don't tell me that bullshit. My step father was locked up for 4 years. My mother, brother, and I rented a shitty little run down duplex from people who turned out to not even be the owners. She worked 3 jobs working almost 20 hours a day. I still remember the night she called me crying because she fell asleep driving in between jobs and didn't even remember how she got from point A to point B that night. So don't cry about some 9-5 job. I dropped out of school at 6th grade to take care of my little brother while working online. We managed to make bills every month AND pay the fees for the inmate accessible phone. We did what we had to do to get by. So don't go saying some bullshit excuses about not having a normal upbringing. You CAN make it, you choose not to. Then again some people like to try to exploit the system and get around these laws. I'm gonna take a wild guess here and say your "buddy" is locked up for theft or something along that line. You know since you don't like to be "herded around like sheep and live a so called normal life working a 9-5 job for little pay"
Hes actually locked up for importing kilos of synthetic cannabinoids and other research chemicals. But thats besides the point. Im not trying to fuel your hatercar. I know what your saying. But rightt now i dont care to argue opinions id just rather find out what apps can secure a phone better etc
I don't think there is a need to send media to an inmate... Why do you feel need to risk his privilege of utilising communications by sneaking? There are not to my knowledge DBAN like utilities for android devices... There may be some solution for rooted devices I am not aware of though.

In prisons they limit how long and when you can use a phone, you have to wait for others also using the few phone available, you have to to register and get the numbers/people you want to call approved, etc; it's alot of hassle to use the phones in prison.
They use a device to find electronic devices in cells to find phones, but false positives come up for mp3 players, radios, etc. They should try using a foil chip bag, it may hide the phone like a faraday bag. Well short of deleting the phone logs after each use, not keeping text messages or a contact list, there's not much he can do to keep the pigs from getting info from the phones. It's not that they can't, they don't want to. They would rather put both the inmate and themselves in jeopardy than just following basic rules. And why? To talk to them over the phone a bit more? FFS I never understood why it's such a big fucking deal. I spoke to my step father once a day and I was perfectly content. He went on with his day, read some books, and slept a lot.
Prison is a boring place where everything you do is controled by the pigs, contact with friends and family on the outside is important since you can't always get visits and phone calls are limited.
If you lived in the real world instead of watching anime like a weeb you wouldn't have such a santimonious attitude about following the rules. I hope you're not directing that post at me. If you read my first post on this thread you'd know that I have had family locked up before and managed just fine with following basic rules. Let me put this in terms you'll understand. You're not in prison to play and have fun. You're in the adult version of the time out corner. You did something bad and now you have to pay the price. It's so fucking easy to understand. (May 7, 2017 05:46 PM)tron Wrote: It is directed at you and your myopic view on things. Thank you for your input. Some people are a one way street. If they were in this position they'd understand. They think they know everything... his viewpoints are why the legal system is so messed up. Who's rules did I break? Most people who created these rules break them themselves and use legality and lawspeak to cover their ass... I understand when someone does something wrong , they should be punished accordingly. But a lot of prisoners are gun rights enthusiasts and just a typical drug addict thats that family gave up on. The prison system isn't a rehabilitation system it's just modern day slavery. You should see the. Wages they are working for, what their building then how big the million dollar contracts are. Anyways we are off. Topic.
Hey man, can't do the time? Don't do the crime!
