So since .NET has no support for the SOCKS protocols at all, and because sockets can be hard to use sometimes, I decided to make a wrapper for the socket class with built in SOCKS capabilities (HTTP soon to come). It features a better timeout system, more graceful disconnect method, and asynchronous functions. This project includes (poorly written but functional) test projects for both client and server to demonstrate how it works by sending a simple string to the server and the server responds with a reversed string. I plan on expanding this by making a wrapper on top of it to allow easier use of HTTP requests (and hopefully fully replace the need for WebRequests, etc., to be used).
Current features:
You might notice I did not include SOCKS 4a support, and that is because there is no need since most (if not all) hostnames can be resolved by your DNS.
