The Hack Forums Wiki is looking for able and creative journalists to research and write regarding accurate information with adherence to certain criteria.
This recruitment will be open for a limited time.
Now is the time to be a Writer/journalists for the Hack Forum Wiki team.
We are looking to recruit two to three new journalists.
It is advised to either PM me Nuworld or Viral Dragon regarding any questions about this recruitment or the Wiki in general.
RECRUITMENT DETAILS
This recruitment will be only for Journalist that have writing skills and are willing to contribute and do the work that is needed.
The Wiki is very busy and you will be excepted to complete your weekly tasks.
1) During the first stage Is where an applicant submits his application in this thread.
2) During the second stage is where the applicant is in consideration, PM will notify said applicant.
3) During the third stage is where an applicant's vocabulary and grammar expertise is put to the test. This phase will be conducted by myself and or one of the Hack Forums Wiki Team editors.
As much as we try to give everyone carte blanche in their duties, being a journalist though has its own rules and stipulations. The basics of them are: - Knowing how to draw, understand and act according to the borderline of seriousness and having fun.
- Having a sense of professionalism when writing an article, especially from a third person's point of view.
- Knowing how to adjust an article's foundation at critical moments (objective to subjective [and vice versa], etc)
- Understanding the basics of writing an article.
- If you got accepted into the Wiki team, you will be placed into a two-week probationary group.
This is where you will be monitored of your work and writing skills by the Wiki editors.
- If an editor or myself feels that you have not completed your tasks in a satisfactory way/time.
You will be removed from the Wiki Team.
Members who did not receive a PM from me and or from a Wiki editor in 48 hours are automatically assumed to fail at a particular stage and thus fail in passing the recruitment. This only applies to applicants who have passed stage 1 and are expecting a reply from me or Wiki editor when they are in stage 2/3.
Having Gauth enabled is a must. No exceptions.
You must have 0% warnings on your account.

Good luck to all that apply, make the Wiki great again
Good luck to all applicants, it will be refreshing to have some new journalists join the team!
How many hours can you dedicate to your task at hand throughout the whole week? Describe where possible: I will be able to dedicate at least two to three hours each weekday and upwards of five hours on weekends, if necessary. All in all, I would say at least 15 hours a week.
When it comes to writing in the English language, what is one strength and weakness you typically see throughout your writing?: One strength that I feel that I excel in is effortlessly weaving voice and simple, yet advanced prose into my writing. One weakness in my writing is occasionally using redundant commentary when trying to connect back to the thesis at hand. However, I feel that I have been making progress towards less redundant pieces of commentary.
Have you ever written for another team/group/purpose? If yes, please state who the group in interest is: I have not written for any other purpose than school and enjoyment.
Do you have a platform on where you can write large paragraphs comfortably?: I do not have a problem writing paragraphs on any platform, whether it be Notepad, Microsoft Word/Google Docs/ or even the reply box on HF! I can also write on my phone or iPad with ease. If I had to pick a preferred platform however, I would choose Microsoft Word, or Google Docs.
Are you comfortable with doing the research required for writing the article yourself?: I would not have a problem doing research for an article. One of my favorite parts about a process, whether it be an experiment or a research paper, is the research itself.
Do you see yourself going inactive anytime soon?: I have had some problems arise recently that caused me to go inactive, but last week, in my opinion, is the start of where I become permanently active on HackForums.
Thank you for taking the time to read my application and if you have any questions regarding my responses feel free to PM me! Good luck to all other applicants!
Only one application?
We figured we would have more by now.

Hmm, maybe there is too much information on the thread to read through.
Some people just don't have the effort to read that much. Plus you should make the title "Recruiting Writers for Hack Forums Wiki". People will be more interested if it included a user bar lmao.

Chances are that if reading this post is too long for them, they may not have the qualifications to be a writer in the first place lol
My hat used to be somewhere along the border of being grey but over the past few years, I realized my calling is to learn and help others out in ways that I can ethically. Learn as much as you can, experience, grow, educate, and throw yourself in uncomfortable situations.

Correct!
Besides the wiki has journalists.
The HFNT has Writers.
The wiki is recruiting journalists.
How many hours can you dedicate to your task at hand throughout the whole week? Describe where possible: I would be able to dedicate 10 to 15 hours a week to the task at hand throughout an entire week, I'm finished with college now so I can work on the task both during the day and the night.
When it comes to writing in the English language, what is one strength and weakness you typically see throughout your writing?: one strength of mine in the English language is my ability to write creatively, I am able to think about the task at hand and write about it in a manner that attracts the reader and is intriguing. One weakness of mine is that I at times have minor difficulty writing in writing extensively, however I more often that not overcome that weakness.
Have you ever written for another team/group/purpose? If yes, please state who the group in interest is: I was formerly a proofreader for The Writ3rs. I have also written for gaming communities, such as updating their web pages with new information and writing new posts for new games and technology that has been coming out. Unforutnyl the gaming communities in question have shut down so I can't reference my work.
Do you have a platform on where you can write large paragraphs comfortably?: Yes, I am able to use word and other word processors.
Are you comfortable with doing the research required for writing the article yourself?: I am able to research extensively into the articles at hand and ensure that I only get the most accurate and relevant information.
Do you see yourself going inactive anytime soon?: I do not, I have just finished with college for the year so I have plenty of free time.

Glad to see you apply bud hope you get in.
Hope to see more people apply, we definitely need more Journalists.
Good luck.
The OP has been updated with new rules.
How many hours can you dedicate to your task at hand throughout the whole week? Describe where possible: I am able to dedicate multiple hours a day towards the tasks I am handed. A total of about 20-25 hours a week.
When it comes to writing in the English language, what is one strength and weakness you typically see throughout your writing?: I would say that one strength of mine in the English language is my ability to always use the evidence that I have found wisely and to work off of it and build a detailed story line. I wouldn't say that I have many weaknesses with writing as I have just finished with High School and about to start college so I am still fresh with pretty much most of the knowledge up to my level of education.
Have you ever written for another team/group/purpose? If yes, please state who the group in interest is: I have not other than for school. Having just graduated I have taken many English Honors classes and done very well in them all. During those times I have to write many papers.
Do you have a platform on where you can write large paragraphs comfortably?: Yes, I have access to word and other word processors available.
Are you comfortable with doing the research required for writing the article yourself?: Yes I am very comfortable with having to research topics and other things relating my article or an article that will be published.
Do you see yourself going inactive anytime soon?: I do not see myself going inactive anytime soon at all. I am staying in town for college and summer has just begun so I have tons of free time on my hands.
