I'm not too sure if that's what they were doing, but if they did that then they're not doing any more seasons? Just movies?
Or would the anime pick up where the movie leaves off?
Seems kinda stupid to do that.
Although I did go and see the movie in theaters and it seems like it picked up right where the anime left off and that could definitely be the case.

I seen the movie fam XD
I'm saying though, pretty sure they're not ending it yet. It's got tons of potential still.
So by them releasing a movie like this it throws a lot into the air.
Will Season 3 pick up where the movie left off?
Will they stop the anime entirely and just continue making movies?
Or will they just drop the entire series now?

shit my bad just notice it was released already but not 100% about subs. er SAO was pretty shit. First half was amazing second half shit. Season 2 was good then turned to shit again. Also, if the movie followed the anime then I don't see why. They might make a new season instead of an anime but then again I can't see the future. Also, I doubt they'd drop a show that is popular to new people watching anime. Then again Log Horizon still doesn't have a s3.

Omg link me in the PMs
I wish I could. I went and seen it in theaters. Shit was entirely sold out.
It was amazing.
I can't find it online anywhere sadly. I'd love to watch it again.

All I know about following up Season 2 is the movie, Ordinal Scale. I haven't seen it yet but the dubbed version is being screened in cinemas here soon. I could see them making a Season 3, the entire franchise must be extremely profitable.

Not sure what you mean about the subs. The movie had subs when I saw it XD
The anime itself, I enjoyed it all. I liked S1 and S2.
To be completely honest I like Sinon more than Asuna, where other's totally hate Sinon.
I suppose everyone has their own opinion and what not.
I don't see them dropping the series considering they managed to sell out theaters across multiple countries when the movie was released.
I just think it's kinda weird for them to make what was supposed to be S3 into a movie. Now how are they going to pick up S3? If someone decides to watch the anime and not the movie they will be completely confused unless S3 completely disregards everything that happened in the movie.

I'd fucking love to watch it again. The movie really had some emotional parts to it. I loved it all around.

No way? For real?
Shit I saw the subbed screening. If it's showing a dubbed version i'm definitely going to see that too!
