Stunning Views of Jupiter
Juno is NASA's space probe that orbits around the planet Jupiter. Juno was launched back in 2011, and every 53 days, Jupiter's gravity force pulls the probe very close to the planet. Since the summer of last year, Juno has been pulled towards Jupiter around five times. A photo was taken on May 19 of this year, while approaching very close to Jupiter, the space probe was able to capture images of Jupiter's south tropical zone. The images (which will be shown below) show off beautiful clouds which scientists believe is ammonia ice (basically water ice). These clouds can stretch up to 50 kilometers wide and from the pictures look like a beautiful painting. Ever wanted to know if it snows on Jupiter? Well, it does, and Juno can see when and where it is snowing. Juno can even tell if it is hail or not. One other fascinating about this space probe is the fact that it has the ability to capture images of stars around the huge gas planet. Here is the picture of Jupiter's south tropical zone. >>Source

Cannabis Knocks Back Epilepsy in New Clinical Trial
The fight for the legalization of marijuana is a long battle that still goes on today. But for some places in the world, there is no law banning the drug. A recent study was done on a group of kids who have a Dravet syndrome. Basically, this means that the children suffer a very devastating seizure condition. With that being said, researchers reported to The New England Journal of Medicine their experiment. One group of kids were given an oral solution which contained cannabidiol, which is a component found in marijuana. The other group of kids with Dravet syndrome received an oral solution that did not contain it. The researchers reported that those who took the legitimate oral solution had fewer seizures than the did prior to taking the solution and in total, the seizures were cut down in half producing positive reports. This is all good, however; there were a few negative aspects to those who took the cannabidiol solution. Some kids reported side effects like vomiting. In addition to the bad side effects, eight children had to be removed from the program from the damage caused by their liver enzymes. Is it right to be testing this on children? >>Source

Could This New Compound Give You a Suntan?
Ever wanted to get that beautiful tan without the effort of sitting in the Sun? With this brand new compound, humans may do just that. In its current state, the compound has not been tested on humans, only mice and dead patches of skin. The purpose of this is not only to hopefully give you that nice beach body but to help prevent skin cancer that you can get from the harmful rays the Sun emits. Jerod Stapleton, a behavioral scientist at the Rutgers Cancer Institute, says, "We are talking about millions of young people potentially not using tanning beds each year. … It could be a game-changer for skin cancer prevention.” The way this compound would work is the chemicals used in the compound will help shape the melanin making pathway. Applying it to your skin will allow the compound to penetrate through and scientists say that one of their tests was successful. Using human skin taken from surgery, the compound was applied, and a brown blotch was formed on the skin. This shows that the chemicals were successful in reaching the melanocytes. Basically, what spurs up the production of melanin. When viewed under the microscope, the skin cells look natural, compared to a spray tan which can actually kill skin cells and provides no UV protection. >>Source
