Diary?
Nothing important to say so I'll blabber away: life is changing - for good. I'm in a dream that I want to make happen. Got pulled over by a cop the other day. We started talking about McDonald's somehow and laughed a bit and I continued speeding off in the late night with wet reflections. My mind is motionless, too dreamy. I need to wake up but there's so much to do. Signing off.

A total of 79 people are either confirmed to be dead or missing and feared dead, after a tower block in London caught on fire. The incident started in a fridge-freezer, and the insulation plus outside cladding outside caught alight, both of which failed safety tests. The Metropolitan Police say that manslaughter, health and safety, and fire charges will most likely be considered after the blaze in Kensington, London destroyed over 151 homes. Metropolitan Police Commander Stuart Cundy who was fighting back the tears told reporters the "awful reality" was that due to the high intensity of the fire and the devastation caused, it might not be possible to identify all of the victims. “It is incredibly emotional working in there, but we will do it with our utmost professionalism, and we will do everything we can as quickly as we can to locate and recover everybody who is in there.” Nine of those that died have been formally identified so far while a further nine remain in hospital, with a further three still in critical care. GTA Modding Tool OpenIV Receives an Update
The most popular modding tool used by the Grand Theft Auto 5 gaming community, OpenIV, has released a small update. A minor update that has fixed small bugs and added a few improvements to the tool is described as what was added. With what has been recently happening with the tool does that mean the community will be able to use it again? For those unaware, OpenIV was facing legal issues with Rockstar after the gaming company tried to shut down the tool. Rockstar and the OpenIV developer have been talking over the past week discussing that the tool should be allowed and players should have the ability to customize the world around them if they please. Especially if it is in a singleplayer environment when they are not interrupting anyone's gameplay. Take-Two, the developer behind the modding tool, wanted to shut down the project after all of this ruckus and did plan on taking legal actions themselves but chose not to go with that. Rockstar says that they do support the use of singleplayer mods and that the players should have fun when playing their game. >>Source

Another Big Malware Attack Ripples Across the World
The infamous malware known as ransomware strikes once again. One company that many people are familiar with, FedEx, was one of the targets in the most recent attack and thankfully no data has been breached. A Danish shipping company by the name of Maersk was also affected by the virus and state that their tech systems are down completely and many of their business units are down. It is said that the virus had been spread across 80 different companies. What was interesting about the attack was that majority of the companies that were targeted happened to be in Russia or Ukraine. The ransomware was confirmed to be some variant of the malware Petya that is currently being spread around tremendously the past month. >>Source

Different Variants of Petya?
The ransomware, Petya, that was shared in the article before this one was the original form of the virus. It turns out that there are other versions of Petya being spread around the internet. The ransom demands $300 from the victims that are unfortunate enough to cross paths with the virus, but there are variants of the virus that are much worse. Some versions of Petya will completely wipe your computer system clean. That means you would lose $300 worth of money in Bitcoins as well as all of the files you thought you were paying to recover. Comae Technologies Founder Matt Suiche, had closely analyzed the virus. After doing so, he found out that some of the Petya being spread around is a "Wiper malware" and not as advertised as ransomware. Targets of the virus include the United States, Russia, Ukraine, India, and even France. Cyber security analysts suggest that you do not pay the ransom as you will not get the files back. >>Source

Critical Skype Bug Lets Hackers Remotely Execute Malicious Code
Skype is still one of the most popular free web messaging programs used today. With that being said, Skype is still a huge target for those who have malicious intent. Recently a vulnerability was discovered that allowed hackers to execute a malicious code into the program. The code would then crash computer systems. The name of the vulnerability is was called "CVE-2017-9948" by Benjamin Kunz-Mejri who is Skype's security researcher. Skype versions 7.2, 7.35, and 7.36 on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8 are all affected by the vulnerability. What makes this even more dangerous is how little interaction is needed between the hacker and their victim. The code is sent typically as an image file and sent to the victim. After that, it is obviously sent to whoever the victim is and is hosted on the local system of said victim and causes an overflow that causes your client to crash. You can take a look at it in action here. >>Source

Did this happen within the last few days? If so there is a deadline to report certain things to news. May have happened afterward, if so it'll be mentioned in the next one
Never thought I'd be getting a spotlight in here. Thank you for all the hard work that's been put in the making of this thread.
