autolock inactive threads

Could this be a feature that can be added?
Threads get autolocked after being inactive for 6+ months?

It would be a great feature to add to prevent gravedigging.
Gravedigging isn't disallowed though so why would you need to lock old threads.

people get banned for gravedigging quite often now a days.

According to dis man

it's not bannable if it's on-topic and relevant.

Yes, if it's off topic or unrelated.

If you have a quality answer then it is fine. It's a forum.
I really like this suggestion, hopefully it gets implemented.
its also annoying seeing people finding really old threads that are like 7 years old and bumping them on purpose cause when that happens staff close the thread. so why not make it easier and close threads that have been inactive for 6months or 1 year?

yeah but how many times is it a quality answer? rarely, and the person they're responding to isnt even active.

Then report them as low quality and move on.

you should probably link those threads then?

why report them all the time when you can just close inactive threads?

If things changed then Omni would have already done it.

Gravedigging is not something that gets worse as time goes on.

Report and move on.

Hasn't been suggested this year.

Gravedigging is annoying to everyone.

asking for a download link when the thread creator is closed
seeing it multiple times is annoying plus it prevents people from spamming stupid shit like it happens in the minecraft section

this could be implemented to some sections not all of them.
I think that it's a nice idea considering the +6 months that you mentioned.
I don't quite agree with this, I do agree with some of the other people who have posted. If the post is relevant and HQ it should be fine.
