I try not to keep it on as my rooms is often quite hot, however if you're in a cool room you should be fine. Just make sure your case vents are clean.
This can definitely cause issues if you keep the PC on for a prolong amount of time. Nothing specific but I do know it can cause Internet connectivity issues. Overheating is a concern as well, I used to keep my pc on for a week at a time and it really started to suffer performance wise.

I never turn mine off, from what I've noticed, well if you're using HDDs... is that frequent turning off and on of the drives can cause them to die faster than if leaving them on, then again you can also wear out other components by leaving it on.
I never had any problems with leaving mine on though and I've had this PC for 6 years. ![]() (Jul 15, 2017 05:34 PM)Εthereum Wrote: I have arround 100 tabs open and 30 unsaved documents open when i go to sleep. because i am lazy i just turn my monitors off.. I leave my pc usually on for 1 / 2 months then i do a restart just because the ram starts to freak when being on for a long period.. Havn't had to replace a part since i build it 4 years ago.. so i would say no worries 🤝 Holy crap 2 months? I'd try restarting it more often lol.

I leave my Open BSD Gnome desktop on all the time i think it took it 4 months to crash? but that was because i was installing a package and it caused it to crash.
i don't see a reason why you can't leave it online even windows as long as it doesn't over heat otherwise i don't see a problem why not. but windows is designed to be restarted often so i wish you good luck getting 4 months without any issues. |
