Another Sunset Closer |

But I do think it looks great, and personally, I wouldn't change a single thing about it. Thanks man!! :D We appreciate it! Also have you seen the other piece (glitch art wallpaper) I posted recently? ![]() (Aug 4, 2017 01:00 PM)SkullTraill Wrote: Thanks man!! :D Nope. Going it check it out though. :)
I think I need the original photo to comment too much here.
But kind of a "missed opportunity" here is using the actual beautiful colors of the sunset in your piece. You have a lot of the cools, but not a lot of the warms. One of the reasons we find sunsets beautiful is their mix of warms and cools, usually more on the warms too. I'm going to assume there is more detail in the original photo. You could blur the detail, and add more "sun set"-esque gradients with muted other colors to keep the aesthetic I think you're going for here. Another way to add appeal, is the change up the font. Disjoint the placement (so its on separate "lines"), change one or two of the words font. Even if you want to keep it as minimalist as possible you can, making some text lower case, bold, or italicized would add more impact to the words, that seem central to the composition. Never had anyone bookmark my HF profile before :p Hmu whenever if you need something done. (Aug 8, 2017 12:03 AM)DaryCR Wrote: I think I need the original photo to comment too much here. Interesting reply here. I'm going to link the original down here and let me know if you think your feedback about the colours still apply. As for the text, I usually mix it up only when there's more than 3 words. Imo if you only have 3 or less words and you change it up too much it looks like a ransom note, lol. I did however think of doing each word with a line break, but that ended up covering too much of the window/sunset. Here's the original picture she took: https://i.imgur.com/VyPVztt.jpg ![]()
This is clean! Has that new retro wave feeling. Although not very fond of the font. pun intended
Spoiler (Click to View) I know you are into glitch and abstract experimental art since Novica told me about it and I really dig your approach. ![]() (Aug 9, 2017 06:15 PM)Intern Wrote: Anytime I see your work I'm stunned. First of all, congrats on the job! I vaguely remember this, but I don't remember exactly! But shoot me a PM, I'd love to catch up again!! (Aug 9, 2017 11:41 PM)AvessoVision Wrote: This is clean! I was struggling to find the perfect font for this, it was done in After Effects which doesn't show a font preview on the font list so it literally takes hours to go through all of my fonts. I should have added the text in Photoshop and then imported into AE for the effects, which is what I normally do, but I wanted to do this quick for her so I just did it all straight in AE. Yeah dude I'm really into glitch art, vaporwave, retrowave and retrofuturist kind of art styles. I used to do other stuff too, but nowadays that's my vibe generally speaking. That's a sick track dude, right up my alley! Thanks for that. P.S. forever in debt to Novica and the GFXM crew for being so appreciative and supportive of my work! ![]() |
